At one point someone can agree with your views, but on the other hand we should also understand that Mr Ambedkar himself did not follow the path of violence. He had options to take up any religion for the sake of conversion. But it was his foresight that he took to buddhism for the sake of peace and harmony as things change in the future for Dalits. Well after all the outcry of social injustice one has to understand that the path to reform is a longer process and there is already a political will within the society to untertake this. Without the liberal thinking of other castes and religions it was not possible to sustain the reservation for so long which the great man was himself against for a prolonged period. This is not a civil war or a freedom movement, this is all about rights and a process has to be followed within the constitutional framework. Lets not forget Mr ambedkar was a Champion of the constitution himself. India is a secular country and law is equal to everyone and it should be abided. The Dalits have to stop this unnecessary violence but have to take up the cause with protests and other peaceful means. There are no excuses for violence.

Reservations are legislative (not judicial or society) response to historical social evils to certain sections of the society. Government should scrap reservations when 85% of marriages in India are inter-caste or inter-religious.
