How can singing a national song is anti islamic? I will sing Vande Mataram 100 times and will never tell my child not to sing this song. To me this song represents martyrs from all communities because of whom India gained independence. If Ahmed Bukhari or anyone is opposing singing of national song it is only because of their own selfish political gains and to create a further rift in the already divided society for their political survival.

May there be a million Muslims who think like you!! Though of course singing anthems does not necessarily mean patriotism and there may be many non Hindus more patriotic without singing it, still such objections by Muslim leaders sows seeds of alienation and strengthen the hands of Hindu fascists like BJP, Shiv Sena

Well said, Salman. I am proud to have you as a fellow countryman. Our forefathers sang the song to fight for freedom and it didn't matter whether they were Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, or whichever.
