Why the muslims object
by Monojit Bhattacharya on Aug 24, 2006 02:12 PM   Permalink

The Vande Mataram Song has inspired one and all with patriotic feeling and united us in our struggle for independence. Worshipping our country as our mother is what comes naturally to any Indian having respect for the country. Any citizen of any country symbolizes his country as father or mother and shows his respect. But the problem with muslims is that they don't know how to respect the women folk. This is the sentiment expressed by the shahi imam when he objected to vande mataram.
