Vande Matram
by Satyendra on Aug 24, 2006 01:52 PM   Permalink

'Vande Matram' means worship your motherland. There is nothing communal or religious about it. Its above everything you can think of,including the religion or faith one follows. This magical word had the power to move the whole nation and stand united against the british colonial rule. If there is one religion, we all Indians should follow that's "bharityta". 'Vande Matram" is essentially this religion's sacred word. I pay my tribute to all those brave freedom fighters who marched fearlessly and with pride towards the gallows, vociferating "Vande Matram".
