Its merely a bhajan to me.... why it should take on such a grand proportion is baffling.The freedom fighters sang many other songs too, with equal warth & gusto...Sarfaroshi ki tamanna... etc , so why pick on this? I do not agree with the words it uses.. I bow to no one except God. I am fiercely patriotic and will willingly die for my country's safety,as my forefathers did in the past, but my patriotism cannot be gauged by singing a song or not... why dont they incorporate a naat or Hymn? why bhajan? Why not replace its importance by a more secular and more easily understood 'Saare Jahan se achha?'.. Cant the bigots sing a song composed by a muslim? Then why should they expect Christians & Muslims sing a Hindu bhajan?

Mr. Bharat I think u should clean up ur mind , Religion is some time important.Kindly imagine a situation if ur a resident of X country where eating of cow is made compulsory , Dear as an Hindu u will raise an objection b'cause it is related to ur religion, Holy Hidu religion has not permited to eat cow as it is Paap. Not eating of Cow is against X Country's rules but you can not be called that you are not loving the country . please edaucate ur self.

It is really pity that our great 'patriots' have knowledge not even 5% & discussing issue...Dear hindu brothers why dont u follow vedas & proove that u r true hindu.ur all major practises idol worship,avtarvaad,anshwaad,not worshipping 1 true God, believf in 84crore yoni etc is against teaching of vedas.And if u practise these things then u ll also b called Muslim.So no problem.Plz open ur eyes & know that islam is the fatstest growing relegion in US,Europe & even in India.Why people r embracing way of life which supports "terrorism","jihad","not bowing down2any1 except The God."Just use common sense,look in2 the teachings of Quran which is the last & final revealation of God.U people r pseudo hindu bcoz u dont know the correct teaching of hinduism(actually it is sanatan dharm).If u bcom true follower of vedas or Quran then whole issue of vande matram is solved;i bet.
