it definitely is one of the most beautiful and soul-stirring nationalistic compostions ever. people say there is beauty in the austrian anthem and god save the queen. i dont know. but vande mataram stirs me... the pristine beauty and the heartfelt depth of bankim chandra's lyrics is too moving to explain in words, it makes me proud to be an indian, jana gana mana is inane in comparsion, (who's the adhinayak and bharat bhagya vidhaata in question)
lata's rendition of our national song in ananda math is beautiful and i believe the music is by hemant kumar.

ravindranath tagore 'threw off' his knighthood in protest against partition of bengal not against jalianwala baag.. and u should get hold of the entire jana gana mana song to know the real meaning of it.

Lets not fight!! Its not about accepting the nighthood its about vandemaataram..no doubt Ravindranath Tagore a patriot. The equation vs Janagana mana and Vande Maataram always prefers Vande Mataram!! seeing the origin and content of both the poems its more evident that the Vande Mataram was with a more intenseful intent of National respect, national integrity and unity of India!! Its was one of the weapons which stirred the essense of nationalism in India...

Actually people like Advani and Modi should be sent to Nepal, they have no place in a democratic and secular country. They do not believe in Indian constitution and the rights of the Indians. Also, who want to FORCE muslims to do anything which they don't want to, should also be thrown out of the country.

Thats true. Jan Gan Man was written in praise of King George V, who inturn knighted the poet. At the time of independence the part of the original poem was taken in as the National Anthem (and not the whole poem).

Well Patriot, Advani and Modi are the only ones who have the courage to protect the self respect of the majority(hindus) of India. Its the minority who have got too much hospitality here. If u r a muslim, do u know that there r separate provisions made for u in the constitution? Dont forget u r in Hindustan.
