My personal thoughts on Vande Mataram
by Mitzy on Aug 24, 2006 01:55 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Its merely a bhajan to me.... why it should take on such a grand proportion is baffling. The freedom fighters sang many other songs too, with equal warth & gusto...Sarfaroshi ki tamanna... etc , so why pick on this?
I do not agree with the words it uses.. I bow to no one except God.
I am fiercely patriotic and will willingly die for my country's safety,as my forefathers did in the past, but my patriotism cannot be gauged by singing a song or not... why dont they incorporate a naat or Hymn? why bhajan?
Why not replace its importance by a more secular and more easily understood 'Saare Jahan se achha?'..
Cant the bigots sing a song composed by a muslim? Then why should they expect Christians & Muslims sing a Hindu bhajan?

Dear Salman

Yes, its true indianism.

We do not want any hindu or any mulim in the country, we want only indian and the true spirit is shown by you.

Others whatever may be the religion must learn from you.

Dear Slaman
First of all perform Tauba .
I Think u r un educated in respect of Islamic studies where islam has made compulsory to love mother land.
There is no Harm in singing National Song. and it made compulsory for each and every muslim to love his/her mother land. we all love India.
we are not against this song , we are against the meaning of those stanzas which are against the Basic Teaching of Islam. i.e none is worthy for worship except Allah. and if u read those stanzas then u are accepting that u r worship other than Allah which will makes u out Islam. We All should come togather irrespective of Religion to develop our Holy Mother Land(India) and Should not waste the time in this.

Hi Salman,

You are out of your head. Being a muslim you do not know your own relegion. Shame on you. First ask the maulana or your city Mufti as to what is the meaning of this song & why muslims should not sing it.

Singing this song is idol worship. Anyone who does idol worship has done "shirk" & Allah doesn ot pardon such people. So 1st get your basics right about your relegion before making a bold statement that you will sing this song.

May Allah bless us all with the right knowledge that help us all in this world & the hereafter.

Thanks

May there be a million Muslims who think like you!! Though of course singing anthems does not necessarily mean patriotism and there may be many non Hindus more patriotic without singing it, still such objections by Muslim leaders sows seeds of alienation

Why ''Saare jahan se achcha'' should be banned!?
by VijayN on Aug 24, 2006 03:40 PM   Permalink
My dear Muslim fellow countryman, if Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay had left India for any other nation, every Indian would have opposed "Vande Mataram" tooth and nail.
Mohd. Iqbal's "Saare Jahan Se..." should be actually banned in India since Iqbal is credited with being one of the earliest proponents for a separate nation-state in the Muslim majority areas of the sub-continent. One of the first formal articulations of this demand was made in his presidential address to the annual conference of the All India Muslim League in 1930 in Allahabad. However, our large hearted (meaning coward) politicians kept on pushing this song through our generation to appease minorities!!!
Shame be upon those (SBUT) who do not want to sing "Vande Mataram..." with pride!

Yes, Mitzy, no one should bow down to anyoone except God. We Hindus, since time immemorial, worship only ONE GOD. " Ekmevadwitiyam sharnam>" ( We take refuge in one and the only ONE). Other deities (erroneously called gods and doddesses) are manifestations of the ONE GOD. Gifts of ONE GOD.

Our Motherland is our Mother ? We salute her, rever her like we respect and rever our parants, our superiors, elders.... Whats the problem in calling the Motherland 'Durga" ??/ Bharat mata also has the attributes of Durga !! Bowing down to Motherland, father, mother, teacher is different than bowing down to ONE GOD. Why dont u see the reflections of the ONE God in every part of the creation ?????

We get the smell of ONE GOD everywhere so we revere everything. This is Bharat. Not Saudi Arabia. U have to choose one. Decide.

Mitzy,

We all Hindus love and sing Saare Jahan se Achha !! We love Iqbal !! We love and adore Jesus, we love and revere Prophet Mohammad. We love Islam. We love Christainity. Our Saints have always revered Jesus and the Prophet. Read Ramkrishna Paramhans, Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandraji, Rishi Aurobindo, Raman Maharshi !! Saint Kabir !! All religions preaches the same thing--- this is the voice of India.

If u dont believe in this, get out of here. Or face annihilation. Vand Mataram !!!
