Rebuilding a new India
by Maxwell Fernandes on Aug 15, 2006 05:49 PM   Permalink

I am a citizen on India for the last 34 years. I watch the National Geographic Channel (Mega Structures) series. In what I have seen in the progess of other nations, where they have reached. for example Hongkong's New International Terminal being being built in a span of 6 years. And Dubai's Palm Island over a period of 7 yrs. Where does one think India will ever achieve such development? Tenders are floated for newer airports but the project is never initiated. America has Hoover Dam, but they dont experience floods like what was experienced recently in Maharashtra. When will the Government use OUR money to build a modern India??? We want rivers with proper embankments. HI-speed trains. Better living comfort. When will this take place??? India has and will always be a secular democratic nation. It is within the masses in each and every Indian heart, but it is the politics that create a rift in the name of Religion, caste etc. Do away with the Quota system and be a free ONE Nation
