Is there a hope?
by Chakravarthy on Aug 23, 2006 01:40 PM   Permalink

I am a person, who is always positive and was always hopeful that the future of India is going to be different.....but at the same time I see so many things going totally wrong and often make me loose hope.
The best thing about our country is the constitution. We are a Democratic, Sovereign, Socialist and Secular Republic. But every word described above is being targeted, not from outsiders, but by enemies within the country- the corrupt, power thirsty politicians. Take one example of Secular- after 60 years of Independence, we are to do away with the caste system. The leaders of the country have done nothing all these years to alleviate poverty and help the downtrodden. But they want to keep the caste system and religious disharmony alive, so that they can take political mileage. They are not shying away to increase the quota system, even if it means manipulating the constitution and taking away one of the basic fundamental rights- Right to Equality. The poor and innocent sections of our country dont realise that they are not trying help them, but keep them alienated forever. Union minister feels Vande Mataram- need not be respected. Heard about fundamental duties?
