Great thoughts
by Mukesh on Aug 14, 2006 07:50 PM   Permalink

Dear Sir,
It was great to hear from you about the importance of basic principals of humanity, which are clearly missing in our country today.
Please be aware that I am one of those youth who will do anything to make our country a really great one.
I completely agree with you that India will be successful only when poverty is eliminated, and basic human principals are reepected in our society.
In your interview, I feel that you have very rightly said the following:

"We do not have a great leadership in India now. Manmohan Singh is an honest man. He is simple. He does not take bribes. But his honesty is not sufficient. If the team he leads is not honest, what is the point? If he is told to follow America, then where is the leadership?
I think one of the biggest tragedies of India is that the country now buys the largest number of weapons in the world. We will have much to answer for in history."
Even with so much weaponary, our leadership have no strong-will to take on the enemy countries that are spreading terrorism in our country.
