How\'ll India become a superpower
by SK on Nov 23, 2006 04:46 AM   Permalink

India to become superpower is out of question - though indians are getting rich - india is not growing.
Our Civilisation dates back to 3200 b.c -Salient features are 1.Good roads, sewage system , literacy etc.,we are still thriving to the same things after 5000 years - i dont see the change in next 100 years atleast
Infact we are back in civilisation - Power and money rule india more than law and order we are going back to the barbarian life than to live as a civilised society, I accept there are corruption and bad things in other countries but people in the west are more afraid of doing bad things than in india. An american or brit doesnot throw litters outside in their country because he is been disciplined by the laws in the country (not that he is born like that)
Goverment must understand they play a major role in life of civilians and civilisation. Goverment should have laws equal for every one and people should be afraid of the laws(otherwise there is no point having a law). current scenario in india people who have to maintain law and order are accepting bribes without shame in public
Overall my rough calculation for india to be become a developed nation is 75 - 100
