I strongly suspect that Sri Jaswant Singh without his knowledge acted like a mole. Very often the leaders of our society are made to act as per the interests of the other guy.This is done by the other guy in a very subtle manner by inviting our folks to seminars, or being honoured with some awards or some fancy titles. Many of our leaders including our most beloved Bapuji and Chachaji have been such victims. These kind of people are more dangerous and treachorous to the nation than double agents like Rabindra Singh Some external forces or inducements like Nobel Peace Prize or some cheap awards must have been used as carrot by the other guy to see that people like Sri Jaswant Singh and his colleagues keep mum after the attack on the Parliament.
