Cong to decide on Natwar Singh
by S.Ramaswamy on Aug 08, 2006 10:31 PM   Permalink

It is typical of the Congress party. They want to take action not because Natwar Singh had done a dishonest action in the Oil for Food scam. It is taking action because he has dared to table a Privillege issue agaist the PM.And he is hobnobbing with the Opposition.Of course this will give it a good opportunity to distance itself from the scam,as suspicion about the party still lingers, despite the 'clean chit' it has managed to get from the Pathak commission. The party is trying to claim a high moral ground which going by its past record it does not deserve
The Opposition is not crowning itself with glory either. They are vieing with each other to get a tainted man like Natwar Singh into their folds.Mr Singh has brought discredit to the country. No party should entertain him.Neither him nor his son
That is the least the Opposition can do to prevent rank venality from ruling Indian politics
