Rains in Mumbai
by Devang K on Aug 07, 2006 04:42 PM   Permalink

Mumbai needs better and concerned leaders who knows the value of this city else we are close to those days when no big companies will want to have a setup here.

Lot of people migrate to this city in search of job resulting in space crunch. Overloaded trains, buses and traffic jammed roads is what this city is today.

Now to add to it is the rain trauma. 2 to 3 inches of rainfall and the city starts flooding with kneedeep waters.

However, instead of blaming BMC and other civic bodies we need to blame ourselves for the waste that we generate and dispose off without sensing the damage that will be caused due to this. we blame the BMC for not cleaning drains, but its the waste and plastic that we dispose clog the drains.

In short, we have to change a little to make a big difference and than we have right to blame anyone else.
