Being a Sinhalese, it's refreshing to see such articals published for the masses to see. I have many tamil friends, and my best friend is a tamil. I only hear these thoughts when I meet up with my tamil friends. I'm sure if they were to say these things in SL, they would end up dead. I agree, LTTE has tarnished the Tamils as a community, but as the author has rightly pointed out, they have left no other choice for the Tamil community in SL.
The GOSL is responsible for whats happening in SL. They have allowed the LTTE to take a community hostage. The authors is 100% right about the SL army generals. I'm sure there are a honest few but too few make a difference.
I don't think you and me would be lucky enough to see the day where we might live in peace togather in SL. But I hope at least our grandchildren's children will be able to. But with the kinda brainwashing going on in the north by the LTTE even the next generations are at risk.
