This country was ruled by the british for more than 200 years. But when they left and Independent India was trying to stand on its feet, the babus who took over the reigns of administering this country just took a leaf out of ther British rulers. They behaved and are continuing to behave like the British Administrators. This mind set of the Babus has given rise to the ills we see today dogging this country.
When the Dam was envisaged it was clear that there would be Dam effected persons. Why then the adminstration guys not be proactive and help the PAP-Project affected persons. I read one gentlemans letter stating that people like Medha patkar should not stand in the way of development. agree, if Medha were not to stand and protest do u thing this Babu's with their archaic mindset do the things they are supposed to do ? The answer is an emphatic NO. Please see the number of PIL which forced the Babu's to do what they were supposed to do. they are paid to carryout these duties but they feel ....
