The rule of living
by Keshav Dixit on Apr 11, 2006 02:15 PM   Permalink

As a unwritten word, Muslims have always prefered to stay in a locality where they are in a majority. Bombay riots or no riots. Mohammad Ali road and the whole of Nagpada area, Kurla, Bhiwandi, Mumbra all existed before the riots and so do they remain. As much as Mr. Syed Firdaus would want to make himself believe or want others to belive, it is not the question of the religon but as he himself amply said by qouting his Maharashtrian non vegetarian eating friend, the neighbours could not stand the smell of cooking fish. THIS IS EXACTLY THE POINT. Muslims want to stay the way want to stay let it be any where. So the ghetto mentality & the 'mohalla' formations and the formation of a nation itself. There are enough colonies where people from different communities live and I happen to stay in one of theme. Though my wife won't touch an egg even on med. grounds, I eat the egg it's mother and any thing that Indians eat as non-veg.But in the house,I keep the utensiles seperate. I donot cook unless the exhaust is put on and I clean everything and dispose the remanents in a way so that my wife nor any body else feels offended. Can Syed assure of this to even himself wherever he lives?GOTIT
