Religion bias
by Krishna Kumar on Apr 11, 2006 11:12 AM   Permalink

What the author has mentioned is true. This is the fall out of dividing the country based on language etc. Looking from another angle the cultural differences are so high the two neighbours of two different communities would find it extremely uncomfortable to adjust. On the Bakrid day probably the muslim neighbour would like to cut the throat of a goat as a ritual to the total annooyance of the neighbour. Likewise on the occasion of holi applying colour to all and sundry may be resisted by Muslim girls. So there is a cultural divide which a common man may find it tough to adjust. Even i wonder when would we come out of this and start looking at all indians as one!
