Rubbish!
by Manmath Deshpande on Apr 11, 2006 01:40 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Sir,
Hindus can't live in Muslim areas anywhere in the world.Wherever Muslims are in a majority they destroy the Hindus. In Pakistan, they did so from 24% to 1.5%,in Bangladesh from 35% to 8% now,in Kashmir from 14% in 1989 to about 0.1% now. They start riots and drive out Hindus wherever they are in a majority like in Mau in Uttar Pradesh where they are 90% they threw out Hindus. The same is true for Akola,Jalgaon, Solapur,Malegaon, areas of Maharashtra. As for Mumbai in 1993 the author forgets that-
1-Government intelligence agencies had reported to the Congress govt that Muslims will start riots from 6 Jan,the first monthly anniversery of Babri demolition.
2-Dspite knowing this the cowardice vote-seeking Congress did nothing and allowed Muslims to riot.
3-Far from prosecuting Muslim rioters,Congress ordered police not to fire on Muslims.
4-Knowing this,Muslims fired on police with Ak 47 rifles.
5-Muslims horribly rioted, attacked and killed Hindus in Josgeshwari.
6-Shiv Sena had warned Muslims to stop riots within two days after which it would retaliate.
7-But fanatic Muslims and Congress ignored this and continued riots forcing Shiv Sena to retaliate.

My dear friend -
There is a lot of difference between the countries you mentioned above and India. In those countries, not even the person belonging to the majority religion can do any thing he likes, its the military/economic power that drives those countries. India is a secular and democratic state and we all should be proud of it. If we are supporting these divisions as per religion/caste or as a matter of fact any differences we might have, then I am sorry my friend we are not going in the right direction. we are going into the ancient times.
We read so many articles that say that 'India is rising'. I would not call this rising if we are still
following this communal based seperation.
Lastly, the original author had his feelings from his past experiences the same way even we would feel when we are differentiated against. The only way he would be able to come out of it is by getting absorbed into the society where it is not seperated communally.

Dear Mr. Despande,

What you have written may be true, but this is no excuse to continue the discrimination after all these years.
I think though your logic is right, it is flawed just because of its timing. The same logic would have be fantastic and perfect at the time of riots, but intelligent and knowledgeable people like you did nothing to educate other dumb people like me about these internal politics of the Congress.
Now when we should forget those mishaps and start living in peace and take benefits of the progress the country is making, you want us to go back on those things, fight again and kill each other, so that Political people can make merry around the bonfire of our religious hatred, fired and propelled by short sighted people like you.

Please Mr. Despande, I would request you to let My children and your children, live with Love and Peace which we could not get, and probably those Mild Muslims like this author, so that at least they can live in peace and happiness. JUST FOR THE SAKE OF OUR CHILDREN, lets forget the past and allow peace to prevail. GIVE IT A CHANCE, thats all my request is.

Thank you.

Parikshit

Sir,
What you say is true in some parts of the world and could be true about Pakistan too.

But we got independence for the country and there was no hindu, muslim or any religion that soly was responsible for it. We did it together.

There were a few who had a different opinion and choose to create a new Country Pakistan.
Why blame the ones who stayed here. They wanted a secular place.

What the writer is tryig to say is that he wants the country to change and does not say that muslims are all good and there is no discrimination in there societies.

And all the above justifies the discrimination by Hindu people against all muslims? Quite shameful, the support you are proclaiming for the divisive elements.
