Patience & Perserverance
by Karsh on Apr 11, 2006 11:51 AM   Permalink

Sir,

I am extremely sorry to hear about this. You are very welcome to come to our Hindu locality in Hyderabad. If I say anything more, I guess I will only be hurting your sentiments. As for Mumbai... I hope you will kindly show more patience and perserverance to ensure that such outrageously irresponsible people change.

I am not sure this will be possible in your generation but I hope you will not lose the hope to see your children growing up in a society free of discrimination in India. If you lose that hope, I am sure you will also let your kids believe and behave like that gentleman you met.

I sincerely think that we are one generation away from getting rid of superficial beliefs, rigid stances, irresponsible social behaviour and in general a lack of civic sense in people. I hope every Indian will continue to have that hope and I hope every Indian will continue to spread that hope.
