I could not agree more with Mr Ashraf. Mr Ashraf however did into advise why is it that Muslims are not welcome in Hindu colonies / societies.
I used to live in Andheri in a cosmopolitan society. Around the time of Bakr Id one fine day we were shocked to see a ram tethered in the building on the 3rd floor. The Muslim flat owners would not agree despite polite pleas and requests to remove the ram from the passage and tie it at the backyard of the building. For nearly 10 odd days, the sacrificial ram was housed in the passage. A residential building being used as a cattle shed in Mumbai was my first experience of recalcitrance on religious issue. The stench of urine / crap and bleatings of the ram made those 10 odd days a living hell. But obviously, our Muslim friends were preparing for the religious acts.
I was not surprised after this event, the rates actually dropped in that building.
With such behaviour, do you blame others not wanting certain people as neighbours ?
