Very well said.

Why not live together in harmony. I have also come across Vegetarian's not willing to rent out their homes to non vegetarians. Which I do agree is a very personal issue. But I find it more absurd than the fact of neighbours not being able to stand the smell of fish, which could be a genuine reason.

It requires a greater understanding of eco-systems, I guess and a pinch of practicality of life. One can choose to be themselves and at the same time let others be themselves.

I do not know if this will make sense to you as it did to me. I used to know a saint who used to adore fish, he used to stay in landlords place near Polachi. I have personally fed him fish. The saint attained Samadhi sometime in 1994. After seven years I read an article in the Indian Express that his soul has migrated in another body and this person has started curing people etc. I visited him again and this time he was a vegetarian. I asked him why, he said last time my host was Non-Veg family so I was a part of their family but this time my host is a Brahmin family so I am what they would feel comfortable. This person was a non veg before the transmigration happened. Well just a ponder!
