These days, several trade fairs are conducted across the country with large crowds turning out, particularly during the weekends. I used to frequent these fairs in Chennai and most of the time, I notice that the stalls are too many, the passage is too narrow and the crowds are huge. Everything is Inflammable and every stall is powered. People who organize these events dont care for disaster plans. We saw a temple fire in tamilnadu and made guidelines only for temples. Then we had fire in school. We then made guidelines for schools. Now the trade fair. We are missing the basics of fire control. This can even happen in cinema halls. We need to address the source, not the symptons.
