The following is the sanskrit sloka which describes who is Guru?
Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu Guru Devo Maheswaraha: Guru Sakshat Para Brahma tasmy sri gurave namaha:
This sloka clearly says that Guru is brahma, Guru is vishnu and Guru is Lord Shiva and Guru is actually a paramatma who is seated in the heart of every body. Therefore, Guruji is not an ordinary human being , but actually he is equavalent to God as per the Hindu mythology. Sri Sri and his contribution to the welfare of the world is quite extra ordinary. Therefore, the giving or not giving of Nobel Prize to him does not matter, because he is above than all and the paramatma himself. Does Supreme God require any reward from any human being, since because he has created and sustaining the entire cosmos? Therefore, giving of the nobel prize is akin to giving the reward for the supreme power. "May Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar" bless all of us in the universe for leading the stress free life" Let us all surrender at his lotus feet and do sadhana, kriya, seva and sathsang" through out our life.
