A catostrophe of the kind that hit Mumbai on 26/7 is once in a long while happening which put almost all infrastructural systems out of place. Furthermore, it's not new to prepare such magnanimous disaster management plans every time a tragedy of the kind that hit Mumbai takes place. Are those plans part of the national archives and how many times were dummy runs made to face a situation like this. It would be fool-hardy to believe that the plan would be a winner unless they are actually field tested. Also required are mini disaster plans for tragedies on a much smaller scale which also cost human lives. And all these exercises have to be replicated in every nook & corner of India for their is life all around/.
