I agree with the author to an extent. But, yes, Sania is the one who has to decide and she has to wear full dress and try playing. Who knows she may start a new 'fashion' or trend and all the girls and women out there are forced to be modest. Then more Indian girls, not just muslims, who dont take sports because of the dress people wear can compete and excel. I think if she can pull it off, that will be the most remarkable thing to happen to sports for women.

May be you would also like to see Indian Women cricket team playing wearing "Sarees" or "Salwar Kurta". And how about women swimming team, doing diving and backflipand butterfly, wearing Sarees or burkhas. Howz dat!!!!!!!!!
Why is this an issue?

I really don't see why Sania needs to be apologetoc at all about what she wears and I definitely don't think that what one chooses to wear needs to be justified to anyone. Her dress is not a reflection of her morality. Adherence to religious and societal norms is a part of it but morality and character goes beyond just that. Those who are not able to look beyond her skirt have no right to comment on her religion. This is not just an issue of a dress code of sports. this is a larger issue about our chioces too.
