Is the dress uncomfortable only for women players? Look at the gentlemen. How they are dressed.Look at NADAL. His short is even beneath the knee.He is number 2 in the world. There were great women players of the past who were champions in their days and all of them were neatly dressed compared to the present, who are interested to show more of their bodies than their play.

Mr Khan
1. women are nt allowed to wear shorts as per the WTA. They can wear brief one's BELOW their dress but not below their knees
2. Dresses in the past ( ie 1974 to 1980) were SHORTER than what is worn today
3. No one in the women wears dresses below their knees
4. Sania's dress is a lot more modest than the William sisters or Sharpova, within the system she is extremely modestly dressed, and in fact wears something that would not raise eyebrows in most towns of India
5. Her choice of dress is her personal matter and does not need your approval 6. I doubt if the maulvi would be ok with knee length skirts or shorts either ( he would be scandalised by the idea of shorts)

Mr Khan, thats an unfair generalization you are throwing out in the air. Some tennis players like Kournikova might have tried to use the game to make a career in modeling. But such players would only make a negligible percentage of the tennis playing female population. I hope you realize that Sania is a serious contender in the game, who has reached the targets she set for herself until now of which the latest was to become one of the Top 50 seeds. I hope you will try and open up a bit more for your own good and for good of the likes of Sania, rather than stereotype your impressions.
