Sania Dress Code
by farah on Sep 17, 2005 10:18 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Islam is a way of life and we muslims work towards our after-life and not this world. Islam shows us the right method for every act in life. That said, Sania could have pursued her passion for tennis but in a modest dress which could have won her more name. This is an opportunity for her to show the world that muslim girls are not inferior in anyway and islam does not restrict them to pursue their passion. She could have inspired girls to pursue this sport who restrict themselves because of the dress.

I'm sure there's a way out for this. She can dress modestly and even pursue her career. She can try to be a great ambassador for Islam and Indian culture. This is infact another great opportunity for her to earn a name in another area.

May Allah show her the right path and grant her success.

Certainly this is quite balanced reply to this post. Another could be like: look upon her just as a good sports person from India. Just wonder how many of them have scaled such heights!! Be appreciative of her talent and hope that she can make it really big someday!!

Rajiv,
I share your concern about overcrowding in heaven. And worse, all of them will reach there together on judgement day.
What is even worse is overcrowding in hell, because all those who are not Muslims will anyway land-up in hell. I heard that Judgement day is presently deferred to make the necessary administrative arrangements in heaven and hell to accomodate everybody.

Dear Farah,

If you dont mind, could you please describe a little bit about this "after-life" thing...? I heard something like that we can go to heaven if we follow a life according to the scriptures, but when I think about it I get a bit confused. There are 1 billion muslims in the world today, and even if 10% of them end up in heaven, it is 100 million. And ofcourse people from previous times will still be there.. I am trying to think what kind of life we will have there.. I mean, do we stay in our homes like in India, watch TV, play tennis, drive cars etc.. I guess we will have different kind of family there, since all family members are unlikely to land up in heaven together anyway.. And do we have schools, other worldly institutions... Sorry but I am not able to comprehend what this "eternal bliss" which you guys seem so hellbent on achieving, actually mean!!!

What happens after life? I don't know. Why would you believe someone, who is only as intelligent or unintelligent as yourself, when they tell you what is going to happen in "after-life"? Should'nt you atleast care to ask for details?
