You are right. I can't agree with you more on this. This will definitely
encourage the youth to take up Research related activites to propel India
to the next generation. Present Youth when they take up science as their
career has only one thing in mind.....reach foreign countires who
encourage them & contribute to the research activities there.
Recognition of talent & nurturing it is one thing that seems to be
misisng in the present syatem. Like the IAS/IPS cardres if there is a
science cadre with the structured growth & fame associated......no
longer India needs to fear brain drain. Reverse brain drain will definitely
be seen in no time.

But govt should also encourage all the universities both private and govt by giving some funds for fundamental research. At present india is lagging behind in Nanotechnology research, when compared to other countries.Even in India few universities has taken initiatives but they are not getting any kind of support from the govt.Even students who has taken this course has no opportunities in india,i know this very well because i am the student doing post graduation (M.Tech)in Nanotechnology,we are not getting any kind of support from the govt,so hope by this cadet we will get some solution.
