Its a matter of personal choice of who does what regarding these kind of issues. Upto the guy and girl but who is listening.......
In many colleges (esp engineering) girls and boys are not even allowed to get along with each other.

Just see how you contradict yourself.
You say that you dont want someone to teach you what is good/bad. But you try to publicise something that looks Good in your view.
