Firstly, the entire column is extremely biased and corroded with anger. I dont find any truth in it. I agree Big brother is little too bad but the recent survey says that Chennai is the safest city in the entire country. So many years and still if civilisation has left some traces, it is chennai. I dont understand why the author just portrays life as "pubs,kisses, sex...bla bla.." I wonder if she/he is fit to talk about culture only..
Being a chennaiite I am atleast proud that a girl can walk around with safety unlike bangalore or delhi where guys are waylaid every night. And most importantly chennai doesnt produce "great cultural MMS" like the one from Delhi Public School..
A classical city is supposed to be classical and there is no harm in being little restraining!!

Friend, you are wrong in questioning in the credentials of writer. What is YOUR credentials of culture in criticizing her's? So, answer her questions and not evade issues.
