On reading this column, its apparent that the general perception of chennai is totally distorted. Iam a final year engineering student of a reputed college in chennai and it is very disheartening to read certain things that generally dont happen here. it may be true that the police stopped the proceedings in the disco, but then the morals of the story for each scene is a total exaggeration and utterly ridiculous. The police in chennai are far more humane when compared to other states and also dont say that stopping people from kissing each other happens only in chennai.
