Chennai is not much different from other major cities like Mumbai where Moral policing is common. However, chennai can be better if we take a few more things positively.
The backlash to what Khushboo said was totally uncalled for. She was primarily passing on her thoughts and was actually educating the people. In her statment too, she does mention that "no EDUCATED man will ...". All those who have not understood must probably be uneducated and superstitious people who are unable to accept the truth and are unable to change with time...
"In an age when all the saints itself are not doing the right things ... of all people ... a few politicians are raising their voice!"
I am sure that most people in chennai understand the changing times, but we cant expect people to come out on the road and shout slogans in support of what Khushboo said. However we can definitely write and support her views on leading Indian websites like rediff.
