Why just Husbands? even wives are misusing the alimony law. and hence this law should be abolished or ammended because this encourages misuse from either spouse. mostly women.
sections like 498A are used by girl to get the unfathomable amount as alimony. This would stop once alimony practise is abolished in this modern world where girls are equally educated and capable of earning with more tax benefits.
There have been instances where the genuine girl irrespective of her financial status has divorced the guy without a single paisa. so, it proves that the conscience stops the honest person. It encourages the used only by crooks. The lawyers also have their share her when 1 time maintainance are negotiated in this racket.
An honest person will never accept a single penny what so ever from any one. Will always be self dependent and save self respect. Such laws encourage the lazy women to encash and eat without hardwork.
Incase of kids there has to be a joint contribution of money to their studies and savings till they start on their own. Why a burden on just one spouse?
