Responsibility mishandled!
by John Manoah on Nov 20, 2005 09:41 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Premarital Sex in India? I believe that should not be the case anywhere in the world! Sex plays a very tiny role in this vast episode of life.Life is more than sex! It's an intimate act between two persons joined together legally and mentally for pleasure and most important of all, the propagation of mankind. Sex can be healthy when it is inside the courts of the family and can have remarkable effects when handled in a noble way.

If sex was just physical, no one would have made this issue a big deal. But sex closely glues with morals too.No father wants his daughter to go about having sex. Even if she does, he hesitates to openly talk to others, because he feels its a moral issue for the entire family! Especially in India, women are respected because of their moral vow towards extra-marital and pre-marital sex. At this point a woman who is old and mature enough can teach and guide young women about abstaining from sexual sins. Most Indian moms do this.

Kushbu,a woman mature enough to guide other women in India to keep their moral vows by avoiding pre-marital sex.but on the contrary her advice was like urging them to waver from moral ethics and be safe from hazards!thatz crap!

Even if Kushboo's statements were about those unmarried 30 year olds, the resolution should have been well thought before professing. On the other hand she took over the whole mass and tried to be their voice. I personally believe that every individual has the right to represent a mass with their ideas. But on doing that, they are should watch out for words, meanings and the perspective with the impact after pronouncing. This is where Kushboo lost. She had personal views which she pronounced on behalf of others which is condemnable.

Be it 30 year olds or 80 year olds, moral ethics and values drive human race. It's the only difference that keeps us apart from animals...

It is better to elicit the views of those unmarried girls and boys who could not get married and become parents even though they crossed 30 and who did not enjoy sex because of false notions of values and interpretations of sex, culture, traditions and restrictions and policing indulged by the family and society they are living in. They were afraid. They need to be pitied all the more because they are also simultaneously exposed to pornographic materials dished out in television, internet and cinema halls and posters.
