Kushboo Controversy
by DR.BENEDICTA SATHIAMURTHY on Nov 12, 2005 03:02 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

What on earth is wrong with the people in this state? There are much more important things for the so called politicians to be doing than throwing slippers at another person. As far as I know India is a free country with the freedom of speech,Even if Ms Khushboo's remarks did offend your so called sensibilities, Please this is no way to react, Dont people have any thing better to do than tie up court dates, hold demonstrations, throw slippers and act like uncultured people? How come no one throws slippers at people who engage in child labour,Child trafficking, or at rapists or at people who take bribes & give them. How about throwin slippers at people who Defaecate or Urinate on the road?Dont these things upset your sensibilities? what about holding Dharnas for better governence, to make better roads, to keep Tamilnadu clean? Come on People, GET A LIFE, GET ON WITH IT! And a word for irresponsible journalism- You can make or break a country, In the quest of selling a few more copies you are making India look UGLY! Grow up, be responsible. And to all of you engaged in this debate - Give it rest, DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW PHONY AND MADE UP ALL THIS SOUNDS.QUIT WASTING THE PUBLICS' TIME

If it is individual comments,it is ok.But,why should they comment upon the tamil community and other is as if safeguarding the whole tamil community she comes for it and apologize on behalf of it.That is too much.

freedom of speech is different.
