First the facts, The second most fastest growing nation in Asia; Poised to become superpower by 2020; the most favoured nation in the world for BPO; favourite for all most all the leading technology manufacturers ( Nokia and Seagate) Now can we just afford to bow down in front of an organization which has always been famous for favouring the so called "p5" nations!
True, that India had never been treated with the respect it always deserved but looking at the india as a nation after 1990-91, the scenario has changed completely,Business world globally eyes India as the best base in the world for setting up business alliances And the so called p5 nations economies are stable bcoz of the base India has provided.
Virgin and Walmart have drawn out plans to enter in to the Indian market. The world has to understand the importance of India as a nation.
I agree with the writer that India should exercise their power by "threatning to move out", However moving out actually could just be the action Un might be hoping for. Thats why i believe, India should stand out from G4 and make the point clear to the UN about its stand in public and let the world all over have the debate over it
