Jharkhand Heroes
by Sanjiv on Mar 22, 2005 08:18 PM   Permalink

Jharkhand drama had many heroes, including Mr. Bidwai.

Why Mr. Bidwai? We have a system of first past the winning post. Yet, he offers a specious logic of summing up votes of Congress-JMM-RJD-Left Front to provethe point. He should also add votes of independents, invaliod votes and votes which were not cast. The resultant conclusion is more suied to his logic.
Mr. Somnath Chaterjea conveniently tells the press that he is not concerned with acts of Governor in the instant case. His view is cvourt transgressed its limits. But Somnathda conveniently forgets the fct that even executive cannot transgress and encroach upon legislative powers and priovileges. Yet, when Goa government of Parrikar was dismissed by the executive power, he kept quiet. He is Hero no.2.
Mr. Soren? Well, JMM case was dismissed by supreme court as it cannot decide upon matters which are within the ambit of legislature. Everybody knows that money was exchanged for winning a vote of confidence and our parliament under able leadership of Chaterjea keeps quiet.Soren emerges as a teflon coated hero as neither JMM scandal nor Jharkhand shenigans affect him.
For Bidwai, President and Courts are the real villains.
