Its a poor defence of CPM and congress role in the drama.We know the author is a known leftist who is asked to justify LS Speaker's uncalled for actions. He convenuiently forgot to mention that 2 central ministers were sitting in the Governor's house and were directing him to take decisions after taking verbal approval from 10,Janpath. He also conveniently forgets that even congress offered inducements to the independents but they assessed that NDA has better chances of surviving and so stuck with them. Infact the President and the Supreme Court covered themselves with glory in the the whole drama in the public eye and are the real Heroes.
The author.s duplicity is further exposed in the example of Westminster model when you see Leftists demanding that Rabri may be invited again to form the Bihar Govt. despite losing massively and not being in a position to get a majority. Pl. stop this charade of justifying the unjust and maligning the President and Supreme court who are respected highly by general public than politicians and their cohorts like Mr. Bidwai.
