'Insult' to India
by Arjun Nair on Mar 18, 2005 03:41 PM   Permalink

I am no fan of US's foreign policies and condemn their role in the current violence in the Middle East.
Additionally it is deeply insulting to be criticised by a foreign country over our human rights record.
Having said that, I fully and whole heartedly support the US in their stance in this issue. As a country we should have done this ourselves and dealt with that Hilter-in-the-making in a deserving manner, but failed. Hence I welcome this step.
It is indeed an insult, a slap in the face if you like, but one that we are richly deserving of.My only wish is that Mr Modi got a chance to travel overseas and see for himself the vitrolic contempt he is universally held in.
I believe that I am not alone in thinking this way.
