It's a cruel world out here!!

This story really brings tears to my eyes..I can feel the pain of the parents and their daughters...& understand the agony that the father has to go thru to even make such an appeal. The parents have taken care of them till the time they had the energy to do so, and their whole world revolved around these two daughters. And though there is no chance of his appeal being considered, even if there was an iota of this wish being fulfilled, the parents will definitely not survive long after their daughters' death.

We all feel we should do something to help them, but i really feel we have failed as a society. Just like him, there are so many people suffering because of the UNCARING, and CALLOUS ATTITUDE of society. The politicians definitely don't feel the need to look out other than filling their own pockets. The Rs500/- grant seems like a mockery in a country where crores of rupees are being laundered away. Where are we going?

Venkatesh died pleading for euthanasia. I felt the judiciary gave the right verdict. But then when the judiciary or the govt gives such judgements, WHY DON'T THEY ENSURE THAT PEOPLE ARE GIVEN MEANS TO LIVE THEIR LIFE WITH DIGNITY??
