Did ISI...........
by Renuka on Jun 09, 2005 11:21 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

The Writers views are so biased. And the heading of the Article "Did ISI...." is also misleading. What does the writer want to prove through this I never understood.
India is going through a very grave identity crisis. Though our Constitution says, (and that is also taught to children in schools) that "India is a Democratic, Secular ,....., country." And on the other hand we have our national leaders, singing "Hindutava"......... stating very clearly that they have nothing to do with secularism. Then why this hypocrisy, Just remove the word "secularism" from the books of constitution.
The writer is right that Jinnah was not secular. But his country, which is Islamic, one never heard of a communal violence towards Hindus, for the past many years. Even there was no "REACTION to Action" post 6th dec or post Godhra in Pak. Hindus were safe there. On the other hand, we a Secular country, held our Brothers here responsible for the the Bombing of WTC. For any thing around the world, we punished our own people and discriminated them.
Other coutries which are Islamic and Christian... one never heard that the Hindus are unsafe there. But we have doubts on our non hindu people

Do you live in the subcontinent? Do you follow current affairs? Do you have ANY idea what the state of Pakistan has been doing in this neighbourhood for the last 50 years?
Naivete I can understand...but this is sheer stupidity. Your comments about the "safety" of minorities in Pakistan and India border on the ridiculous!!
