If history cannot be changed, it's advisable that it be accepted. It is an omen sign that BJP, and RSS outfit, through it's president has accepted a fact that Pakistan is reality. And two countries can't become one again, the dream RSS has long cherished.
I think media is unreasonably going into a wrong dispute of terming someone as secular by some other individual, political leader or not.
The fact that should have been seen is that Mr. Advani has referred to Jinnah's speech around midnight independence, which categorically and implicitely accepted the fact that the infamous two-nation theory was false. By pointing to this statement by Father of Pakistan, Mr. Advani has sent a message to Pakistani rulers over Kashmir dispute.
The message must have been seen that if Two-Nation theory is wrong, there is no question of Kashmir being cause of dispute for the reason of majority being Muslims. It was ceded into India long time back by its Ruler Maharaja Harisingh.
Wish Hindu outfits (especially VHP) and media were more sensible in dealing with the matter.
I agree though with the fact that Advaniji should have raised the issue of terrorists seeking refugee in Pakistan.
