Jinnah never held any praying meetings in his public life, while Gandhi always did. Jinnah opposed Caliphate movement while Gandhi supported very actively. Jinnah was secular while Gandhi was not.
In personal life, Jinnah is never known to have rendered namas even once a day (forget 5 times a day) His wooden floored house in Bombay was more used to the high society laides dancing, than any group of Musalmans offering namas. In fact he never had any trait of a muslim fundamentalist. He was more English than the English Aristocrats.
On the other hand, the topiwala party of Nehru, always played caste politics in the Hindi states. Nehru's dislike for a 'Madrasis' and 'Bengalsis' is no secret. He could not tolerate edcuated Tamils like Rajaji and and Srinivasa Sastry nor could he get along with Shamaprasad Muikherjee that is why the Jana Singh came into existance. Jinnah was a pure politician who wanted power. He was perfectly willing to give up his two nation theory if he were made PM of undivided India. He was quite honest about as well. How my being a Hindu fundametalist is incompatebale with Jinnah being a liberal I fail to understand
