It is indeed unfortunate that more than a century old Watson Hotel, which was included in the list of endangered world heritage monuments a week ago, turned to ruins before any action could be taken to preserve it. This is nothing but the result of sheer ignorance and carelessness towards the cultural patrimony, which we have inherited.
