Utter Bilge

No Hindu finds it humiliating that Abdul Kalam is the president. No Hindu finds it humiliating that Manmohan Singh is prime minister. Indians are proud of them, they are doing real well!

It takes a westerner to come with an apallingly narrow mind to instigate such dangerous thoughts among the minds of people. The article was written un-insighfully and immaturely. India cannot be explained by relative strangers. Such strong and sweeping statements show a sign of bad journalism.

With growth of 6%+, and only better times to look ahead to, crying seems a rather silly thing to do. For economic growth does trickle down to the masses; more jobs and more money - sometime down the line.

Godhra does stick out like a sore thumb. But, clashes are bound to happen when you put one billion people in a country - not all of them well educated. India will see all these things through. We have political stability.

Should we cry for being one of the most robust democracies in the world? Should we cry for having the courage to brave the Tsunami? Should we cry for having one of the most talented and cost effective workforces in the word?

Grow up, Francois Gautier!
