Writing for the sake of writing is fine. After such a grim tradegy it more important to face the truth. It is time to ask and answer one simple question. Why India was sleeping why the tragedy struck. Did it respond to the signals properly. Was it really a surprise. The scietists have been asking for a long time that something was imminent. Did India listen to them. For politicians it may be an excellent photo-op and for some others an opportunity to make a buck. Was there a failure in the response to the signals when they were received, if so WHY ?. who is responsible ?.

we all are responsible dude! its easy to ask what india had done for natural disaster. but what's more important is technology. we lack in technology to sense or detect those killer waves, wherever it may happen, in sea bed or in land. to procure those technology from japan or US costs money. of course one can spend money on it. but little thinking has to be done. if US or japan can develop such technology, sell it to those in need and make more money, why can't INDIAN's with over one hundred billion can do it? we can't do because everytime we expect government to do. we forgot that we are the government. how many of us are working in R&D projects to develop technology for INDIA? how many are aware of the fact that INDIA is spending more for procuring infrastructure? we having been born and brought up in INDIA have to contribute to our society. but what matters for us is also money. instead of concentrating on technology contribution, we simply ask the government on why it haven't done anything, and we concentrate on our work. we don't even care for someone to answer our question. next time, try to work for INDIA as its our duty and stop questioning someone else -a research fellow
