Reservation for Dalit converts to Christans
by Madhavan on Feb 12, 2005 08:49 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

I am of the opinion that a Hindu once he converts to Christanity has no right to be called a Dalit as there is no castism in Christanity. The political parties and the Law should be very clear.I cannot remain a Brahmin once I convert to Christanity. So where is the point in giving the converts the same facilities of Dalits? The Dalits in Sikism and Buddhism are nothing but off shoots of Hinduism, hence they have the right for reservation(Which I feel should be reconsidered too).
