exaggeration

I thought that the Naxals were basically landless labourers fighting for equality. If thats the case they can be taken back into the fold at the expense of those who exploit them. If the people have a stake in the system they are not likely to rebel against it. As far as China is concerned, they will get nothing out of Nepal: all they want would be to stop the poor Tibetans from threatening in their puny way the communist empire. India is right in being alarmed in Nepal: an unstable and power-hungry monarch in a poor nation racked with turmoil is aweful for anyone. However, a Chinese takeover would make no sense for the Chinese who would get nothing from it. After all they dont give us as much importance as we think they do. India is no threat to China and they know it. I think the author exxagerates too much. India has taken a principled stand for a while as befits a democracy and we would deal with the king in our own time as pragmatism dictates. Its all about diplomacy. The attack on the Malyalis and the Nehru-Gandhi's is just foolish and in bad taste. India does not invest in proper think tanks and strategic thinking so why should anyone be blamed? NDA et al were hardly better.
