DEMOLITION DRIVE AGAINST ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTIONS
by waniwani on Dec 21, 2005 12:55 PM   Permalink

The ongoing demolition drive as per court orders are mere a joke on the public and there is no logics at all from any side. Even court orders on this issue is also illegal, immoral and violations of all human rights (see the particular timings of the demolition - sometimes it is on when huge cold wave is in entire country and sometimes in heavy raining times) since court does not see the real culprits on this issue. Instead of ordering demolitions of the illegal buildings why COURTS are not ordering arrestwarrants against the builders who built these illegal constructions and gave to the people who are residing till long time and paying taxes to Govt. as per Govt. rules. So it is not digested if COURTS are from time to time only orders to demolish the structures which is a waste of public money and instead of this, COURTS should initiate actions against the builders and order to return the money they collected from the people who purchased these flats/buildings as well as forefeit their properties in case of not paying the money to the purchasers and give proper punishments to these builders who constructed the illegal strctutres. Otherwise public doubts about builder-courts nexus
